I came in to the Renton store on 4th, unaware they had literally just closed. I had a nail in my tire. Jon stayed to fix my tire after his coworkers were leaving. Great service & attitude. I honestly didn't think he was going to help me when he let me know it was closing time. Thank you Jon, I appreciate you!
I went to Discount Tire VB2 in Virginia Beach and I couldn’t be happier. I price shopped before selecting Discount Tire and their prices were better than all others I looked at. I was very happy with their service and recommendation. I was in and out in under an hour, they were helpful in their recommendations and didn’t suggest the most expensive tires. I would definitely use them again.

Every single large retail service company should STUDY Discount Tire and how they do business. CRM management, their systems, pricing and honest service is OUTSTANDING. Their teams--no matter what location--are VERY customer centric. They are ALWAYS busy and they do their absolute best to get you in and out ALWAYS courteous and with a smile. Just excellent and what a CREDIT to the State of Arizona for being founded here in Scottsdale. They are National and I will be using them if I ever move. They are loyal to YOU as the customer and you will be loyal to them. UNMATCHED. Keep it up guys. You rock.
Background: My vehicle is a 2019 Ford F-250 XLT Crew Cab 4x4. The original tires were Goodyear All Terrain Kevlar 275/70/18. Approximately 28k miles and the tires had just begun to measure in the yellow. Proactively, I went to Discount Tire to replace them. I ordered BF Goodrich KO2's in the original 275/70/18 online to be installed at Discount Store at 3869 Washington Rd, Augusta GA. I have owned several sets of KO2's with no issues. I have been a customer of Discount Tire for many years. March 12, 2021: I arrived at Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to have my new tires installed. Installer brought my keys and told me all tires balanced well. Left to head out of town and It was obvious that something was wrong with the balance and/ or the tires. The vibration could be felt in the steering wheel and the seat. It was significant. March 15, 2021:Returned to Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to discuss issues. Tires were checked and found one of the tires was so bad it couldn't be balanced on the Hunter Road Force balancer. (If this was true then how was it ever balanced on the 12th?) That tire was removed and replaced, all other tires checked. The installer brought me my keys and told me everything balanced out well. Within 5 minutes of driving it was obvious that the issues had not been fixed. Wandering and vibration that could be felt in the seat (not so much in the steering wheel) making the truck shake between 35-50mph. Every bit as significant as before. March 16, 2021: Called to speak to location manager. Discussed the issues and my disappointment. Store Manager stated that sometimes tires are just not right for a certain vehicle and that we may want to switch to another tire. I told the Manager that thousands of F-250's run with KO2's without issue. Manager stated that sometimes it's better to move to a different tire. He recommended Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Manager commented this was his go to tire. We made an appointment for 3/19 to trade out the tires. March 19, 2021:Arrived at Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to swap the tires out. Paid an additional $212.50 for the Nitto's which was fine if they helped fix the issues. Walked to the truck with representative to inspect the tires. Found significant damage to one wheel (Chrome scratched, removed, gouged on wheel edge) and pointed it out. Another wheel had the chrome cladding delaminated but not yet torn off. Representative stated "it happens on wheels like this", they are just chrome cladded. I stated it didn't happen when Ford installed them. Nitto's were installed and the installer brought me the keys stating that this time they were balanced perfectly. With 5 minutes of drive time it was once again obvious that the tires were incorrectly balanced. Again shake at between 35-50Mph felt primarily in the seat. March 20, 2021:Stopped at the Discount Tire store at 4538 Washington Rd to ask for help. Maybe their machines were better calibrated than the store at 3869 Washington Rd, Set up an appointment for Monday to check the balance. March 22, 2021:Went to Discount Tire at 4538 Washington Rd. All four tires were checked through the same Hunter Road Force balancing process. 3 of the 4 tires were found to be out of balance. March 30, 2021: Claim filed through Discount Tire Customer Service for damage to wheels. Explained that Discount Tire were the only individuals to ever touch the tires/rims since buying the truck new and zero damage existed prior to the beginning of this ordeal. April 1, 2021: Received this reply from Discount Tire Customer Service:
The investigation into the above referenced claim is now complete. According to the review by Discount Tire there is no evidence that any tools used or service provided by Discount Tire damaged your vehicle. For Discount Tire to issue any type of compensation, the company would have to be found liable for the damage to your vehicle. At this time, we have found no liability on behalf of the company. Based on this information Discount Tire is not accepting liability for the damage to your vehicle and, will not be issuing any voluntary payments at this time.
I know this review is long, but so was the ordeal with Discount Tire. I have never had an experience like this, in the 35 years prior to this of buying tires i would go in and pick out a set of tires, they put them on and I drove away without any issues...not this time. I very rarely feel compelled to leave reviews as typically the service I receive meets my expectations. I write this to make others aware. Ultimately, I took the tires back to Discount tire and they refunded my purchase price but refused to pay for the over $900 of damage to my wheels...
Never Again...
Good people with excellent staff. Always willing to work you an "out-the-door" price that includes mounting, balance and tax. No hidden surprises. I highly recommend
Recently experienced a blown out tire and visited the location in Little Elm, TX. They were very courteous and fixed my tire within a half hour. Great services.

I have been with Discount Tires for a couple of times. The price is on the high-end and the customer service is good.
I had $10,000 in credit with 13 years history and they closed my account without warning. No reduction or email. Reason...inactivity. I had a balance when they closed it...sounds like I used it to me. I was the most loyal discount tire user. Always bought my tires there and recommended others to do the same. NO MORE.
The alert came on in my car yesterday morning that one of my tires was low on air. I went down to Discount Tire because that's where I have gone for many years. The guy told me that my tires are no good and they all need replaced. Unfortunately, I can't afford to spend a minimum of $500 right now so I told him I would have to plan a ahead and hopefully get new ones before winter since I live in Colorado. I asked him if he could just fix the tire and possibly rotate them for me and he said no, because the tire is not worth fixing. He did, however, offer to "top it off" with air and gave me a few quotes for tires. I feel like what he did was not the safest decision he could have made. I feel like he should have done as I requested and at least checked out the tire. He looked at it in the parking lot and said he didn't see anything in it so was sure that it was just that the tires needed replaced. I promise you the tires are not as horrible and he said and I really feel like he could have taken more steps to make sure I was safe until I could afford new tires. I will not continue my 25-year business with Discount Tire. I will now be going somewhere else to get tires.
I could not be any more disappointed with this company. I went to have an issue with my tires checked and I ended up buying new tires by "recommendation" of the sales associate, trusting I was receiving good-faith information; and the issue I went for was not even looked at, let alone taken care of. I contacted the manager to resolve this and I was ignored. This happened to me a few years ago with the same store. I went for a specific issue, the sales associate suggested that the tires I had were the issue and made me buy new ones. The issue was not resolved until I contacted the District Manager. It is sad that with this situation going on companies are trying to take advantage of consumers to make up for the money they are losing but they are screwing their own customer base. Never will I go to that store or company again.
I've only taken my cars to Discount Tire, first the store on Williamson in Ormond Beach and now the store at Regency in Jacksonville. Honest pricing, helpful attendants and it's clear the business works hard to train their teams to be concerned with customers' road safety.
